Operational Updates for the 2022 Season

As was the case in 2021, we expect to conduct normal range operations and events. Trap and skeet are ready to go. 5-stand and traditional sporting clays will be operational on or before Memorial weekend. Our shooting hours and days remain the same: 4PM on Wednesday and Thursday, 10AM on Saturday, and 1PM on Sunday. See our Info/Schedule page for more details.

We’re happy to resume our July 4th Firecracker Shoot this year. This friendly competition and cookout lunch is an important fundraiser for the club. Our year-end club championship with dinner and awards will be held on August 28 and 29, 2021. Please circle these dates in your calendars. Details for these events will be posted at the range and on our website.

As you may be aware, there is a nationwide shortage of all types of ammunition. If you find it, buy it!! If you find an online source, please contact David 717-623-2328 or david.kretzing@gmail.com so he can spread the word to other club members.

We will also be offering individual instruction and group events by appointment. Please call 207-864-4323 for additional information or to schedule an appointment.

Rangeley Skeet and Trap is a lead-free shotgun range. RRG&SA members shoot at member rates. We are open to the public and welcome all ability levels. Hope to see old friends and new faces at the range this year.

Hope to see you this season,
Dave Kretzing

News

Effective from the 2017 season onward, all RRSTA fields will require non-toxic ammunition. This change will satisfy the Environmental Management Plan requirement for the federal grant funding we received to do the major infrastructure construction and equipment acquisition over the last two years. Compliant ammunition will be available for sale at the range. We ask for your cooperation and support.

Season begins 5/15/21

Membership dues will remain unchanged for the 2021 season.
